External validation of performance reporting systems of housing associations

The validation requirement is concerned only with the reporting systems that are relevant to the collection, recording, calculation and reporting of certain Housing Corporation performance indicators.

Validation provides an opinion as to whether those systems are capable of generating accurate, reliable and timely performance information. It also provides an opinion as to whether the way in which the information has been manipulated to calculate performance indicators is acceptable.
